which runs on 3rd edition symbian(same as N73).
First of all, service commands are not working, for eg to check my balance its *100# and when i do that sometimes the phone hangs up or sometimes i get an error(this is not operator problem).
Secondly i cant backup my phone data to memory card, i get an error saying not enough memory even though 85MB is free.
Thirdly my SMS messages are taking an insane amount of memory, i save them on my phone memory. I currently have 700 saved SMS, according to memory info they are using 260KB but when i delete one SMS about 4KB space gets freed.
What i want to know is that will a firmware upgrade solve these issues or are these unsolvable, especially the service command issue? I really dont want to loose my SMS but if thats what it takes to fix these issues, i am ready to do it. | |

well, imo a master resst ( kind of reboot ) is more then welcome at symbians. if u never had these bugs before, give it a try. u should make a backup on the pc suite instead of the mem card, if that bhaves weird too.
