@ Doggman,
Hi Marc, I don't know you and I have never said you were pro nokia. I'm sure you are like a lot of us here after the 'best handset for you' no matter who the manufacturer is.
I just find it annoying that you repeat yourself so often. You said along time ago that you were disappointed by the P1 spec and by SE's policy.
Since then, you've been harassing anyone saying they like it.
I'm inclined to think you're not a bad person (you might have little temper though), but you surely don't like to listen to people with an opinion different from yours. It's a shame.

I agree with that. If you post a comment in 1 thread you always post the same thing up in all the p1i threads, what's the point in that?, is it just to boost your postings> Say it once and be done with it, thats what annoys al ot of people on here! |

Hi all,
I last posted on 22/7/07 that was three days ago, if all you stopped repeating lies i wouldn't need to answer and correct your accusations so if you all shut up repeating yourselves and stop constantly accusing me of this that and the other all of you get on discussing your beloved SE in peace. So just leave me out of out and get on with discussing SE because to quote some of you why do need to keep on repeating the same things again and again and again talk about the pot calling the kettle black and if you are going to accuse me of anything try sticking to the facts please.
Marc

Re. Prize – Today one of the Swedish Wholesale dealers have +100 stock on P1i preinstalled for operator Telia/Surfport @ ~3600 SEK +VAT ( <400€ )
Hence the consumer prize should at least not end up higher than 3800 + VAT ( ~410€ )
(like i stated in my earlier post (2007-06-19 11:30:00 Page 28)

As a SE P900 user, which was my first smart phone, I had to switch to Nokia 7710 for several reasons two years ago. Despite it's slow speed, it was a hugely satisfactory phone in all aspects, especially its rich set of features that WORKED!
In P1i, SE has given customers a phone with a very poor set of features (read DUMB) that DO NOT WORK all too often!
Yes, I am now officially a Nokia Smartphone fan and the not-so-proud owner of a SE p1i who will have to learn to live with it for at least 3 years (my average holding time for a smartphone, seeing how expensive they are!)
And no, I will not be going away from these forums because I do have a SE phone, like it or not, and want solutions to all the bugs I expect to encounter every day from my friends and colleagues on this forum!

In my country we say :
«You can't fall in the good grace of both Geeks and Trojans»
Nokia is big for a reason, and I'm glad people have a choice.
We don't work for Nokia or Sony Ericsson, so it's cool everybody have it's oppinions.
For the time being I'll stick with my beautifull touch screen P1.
In the future ... who knows the future anyway?

Having purchased the p1i, I can understand why Nokia is big!
P.S. Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings on these forums, but I do not buy a smartphone as a toy to play with and experiment. I buy it to do serious work on a daily basis to enhance my productivity and act as my electronic secretary. I consequently expect it to work without a glitch.
And, as a software engineer, I can recognize a badly designed and programmed device when I see one. The P1i does not meet the standards of a production machine brought to market. |

I really don't understand your problems which you fail to specify in any detail. I agree with your sentiments if they were referring to the P990 but having changed from that to the P1, I find it one of the best smartphones I've owned. It's only downside is the slightly slow response (which you apparently don't mind anyway) but otherwise it does everything I ask it to. I'm probably not what you would call a heavy user but I certainly use all the PIM features many times everyday and check emails via GPRS and wifi all the time. I also regularly use the music player. OK, I don't do much surfing of the net but like most smartphones, the screen is just too small to do meaningful surfing. For the same reason I don't do spreadsheets or Word documents either. With the latest firmware, the phone is rock solid too. To me, the P1 delivers all I could ask for as in my opinion, if you are really such a heavy user then surely you should carry around a laptop.
Once again, that's just my opinion. |

The P1i is seen to have inherited most of the flaws in the P990. I wish I could go into detail and list all the bugs and lack of features that I, a software engineer, am encountering in the P1i, but I'll just have to point out that many of the P990 bugs seem to have made their way into the P91i, and there are plenty of these bug lists around on the Internet. |
