Nokia's el cheapo 1100 handset has reportedly racked up "over 200 million sales" since it launched in 2003. You heard right, this low-end candybar has put the 100 million iPods, 50 million RAZRs, 10 million Chocolates, and 115 million PlayStation 2 consoles to shame in terms of sheer units sold.

Half of that might be India coz every third guy here has the 1100. This phone i think dominates the low end segment...
T230 >> T610 >> Ngage QD >> N73 >> N85 >> Omnia HD >> And countless other review units

That was a huge hit here in Colombia too. Recently sales have ceased due to it's succesors taking over, the 1112 specially. I wonder, does that figure include identical handsets such as the 1108? I bet those racked up a lot of sales too.

the world has gone mad.
not only the climate, but also the minds of people.
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA

I know, it was a moment of weakness or madness, take your pick? ...i think it was both.

Its funny because i haven't owned any Nokia phones since the 8850/8890.
