That's fine as long as they kill Motorola and just roll their products' traits right into the SE lineup. Just not the skimpy features.

Maybe they're talking about Motorola's network division. Would make more sense to me.

Yea probably the network devision. the total package would be crazy, ericsson doesn't have that much money to spair, and the american goverment won't allow it.

motorola's marketshare in cellphones won't be counted up with SE, because SE is not ericsson (sadly).
ericsson mobile platforms on motorola cellphones would be possible, increasing the ericssons marketshare of mobilephones with their platform on the market.
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA

I think the american government would allow it. I mean after the sale of Quantas, motorola (which isnt even an "iconic company") would be allowed im sure.

it would be a great combination though. sony's marketing strength, ericsson's usability, motorola's build quality and design. nokia wouldn't stand a chance

I doubt the mobile divisions would be effected if that was true.

It would seem plausible for the network divisions to come together afterall. Nokia and Siemens have jumped in bed together.

I love both and moto so if they merge i think blokia will be in a spot of trouble!but like someone said moto is huge and dont think ericson could afford to buy em out...btw ppl please ppl stop sounding ignorant by saying moto sucks because it rocks actually!when you talk like that it reminds me of how some ignorant ppl believe that only nokia is good .lets keep this an intelligent forum criticise with facts if you must!

Note that it's Ericsson, not Sony Ericsson.

Yeah, technically SonyEricsson is a completely different legal entity of a company. its just a 50/50 ownership between sony and ericsson
