Hi!
Anyone know if I can buy just the neck band part? Mine has split so the rubber tube inside is beginning to protrude....Soon, the material will split and fray.
Hope I can just buy a spare neck band !

My friend was able to obtain one of these rather cheaply from eBay! I'd give that a go! |

Mine looked like it was going to split - this was at the bit where it was bent on the lanyard. After pulling it out a bit, it seemed to sort itself out.

Hi dgable !
I rang S-E and their recommended parts company and they don't have any spares !
I can't see them on e-bay either. I can see rubber ear bud replacements but not a neck band....

well i still dont get you....the neck band holds the wires inside,then how can you seperate them and have another neck band??????impossible....all parts are one(except the band which places behind your neck,as you see in the manual which can be released)

Yeah, you can't replace it, but try bending the cable around and pushing/pulling the covering and it fits back together, it's a weave that can move about so sometimes leave gaps. I thought I broke mine but it's fine now.

@decay_zeit
I know the wires that connect the ear speakers to the main unit are not inside the neck band part...which actually can be pulled off of the rest of the headset.
But you could replace it if only you could buy the part !
I think this photo shows clearly...
There are two rubber tubes encased in the woven thread of the neck band part.

Hi
I had the same problem with mine, ask SE would they repair/replace it as its only 6 months old.
They gave me a wishy washy answer about not been under warranty. |

I asked SE what did they mean by the part not been under warranty.
I cant find there response from SE, but i remember them saying that this wasnt a known fault.
It seems that there is a few of us with the exact same fault !! |

@cableguy!
Mine has split right through now so that the rubber tubes are showing.
I have patched it with tape but it looks bad... Of course, I can't see it because it is behind my neck !
I am trying to think of a good way to repair ...

I am realy annoyed with mine I bought it for about £80 from Orange and the grips that allow you to shorten the earpieces has ripped the material covering on the wires it is affectivly ruined after only two weeks! I am taking it back at the weekend.
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot. |

Hi!
My neck band split completely the other day so I did some modifications !
I cut out the 'behind the neck' part of the neck band and made small loops.
I then sewed 2 buttons to a Walkman lanyard !
And then fitted the loops over the buttons!
The W950i can also be used suspended from the lanyard!
Of course, if I put some buttons on a different lanyard, transfer is easy !
