Hi, ive been using my p990 for a year almost now, and have had no problems, but today just suddenly something has gone wrong with the touch screen... its just way too off, is their any way i can fix this?? For example if i want to press the number "9" on the virtual phone screen then i have to tap just above the number "3" in order for the the "9" to be pressed..... everything is just way tooo offfffffff
please help!

run the setup guide, there is a calibration tool there.

never mind, i found it!
but when i run it and it says to tap the centre of point 1 and when i tap it, it just says "too far from point 1" and nothing happens.......

centre of what?? of point 1 or centre of the screen???
it just says " too far prom point1"

Tap it in the centre circle of number 1,then 2,etc

i did do tat, but when i tap it on the centre of number 1 its says" too far from point 1" and then it doesnt even move on to point 2 etc..... please help!!!

Use a bigger stylus or your thumb


Sounds like a service centre job if you have performed a reset, and recalibrated and still have a problem!

i was in New Delhi, India when the whole touchscreen incident happened!
Took it to the closest SE Service centre and they fixed it in about one hour!
It cost be about USD 25 to get the LCD changed and it works fine now!

I had to pay coz my warranty had expired...
