maybe not about the tech spec,but I have a dream - I want to have a large and expensive painting(I like landscapes) from some well-known artist on the wall in my living room and a thin transparent LCD display which is placed in front of(or on) the painting instead of the protective glass.And when I turn it on,the painting fades and I start watching a movie,for example.That would be very cool. 
P.S.:What about the new Sharp displays?I would like to know something about them,if there is any info about the specs.

just wish that the mirror plating on my cell's display doesn't make it look so dirty, reflecting all the dust and whatnot there. other than that, can't ask for more. well, maybe for all displays to be as clear as the monochrome displays of old? |

I hope that  LCDs in the future will be like that of the latest Television-technology . . . 1, 2, 3 - MegaPixel in resolution . . .

now TFTransisters are slowly replaced by TFD (thin film diode), which consumes less power and also cheap by pricewise. |

I crave for crisp TFT LCD with wide angle viewing of not less than 480 x .. pixels whatever the ratio for any smartphone! This would be wonderful for reading and for movies, DVB, DMB, etc at 16m colours at high contrast out doors. Lets not forget a possible dedicate 3D graphics hardware attached with high fps ? 30 or DVD quality! Sharp?, Sony?, Samsung?, etc have done it for home multi-media systems! |

i wish phone should be lcd thick, touchscreen from top to bottom, a small solar panel on the top for juicing, on the back a metal thin film as an antenna, a thin battery for power, embedded circuits that thin, 'd be about 15 gm in all...

@sold - Depends on which model to compare  But in my experience . . . I guess it's Nokia, specially with it's latest models . . . but the REAL-winner in this arena will be - Samsung, no doubt !

yea thats right ,, wat about 6233 and w810 plz dont tell me 6233 cause its more resolution ... i just want to see pic for the 2 displys beside each other if any one have this pic plz upload ??
cause u know i dont think it depend on Resol. or colour .. w810 and w800 are the same but w810 is way better

6233 screen is far better, had both in the past, sadly 6233 didnt deserved the 16m screen like 6131
