Hi am have a phone that supports GPRS and was wondering if anyone in the UK had it yet on the Singlepoint Vodafone network. If so how do you go about setting it up and what are the costs?

Thanks

Unfortunately SinglePoint's Billing update won't be available until January 2003, which means both GPRS and MMS is unavailable until then.

Vodafone's free MMS promotion ends at the end of January, and SinglePoint (the largest Vodafone Service provider) users will have missed out on a big bulk of this promotion.

Also, Vodafone Live! phones run on GPRS. Better not get connected to SinglePoint if you buy one of those handsets from Phones4U or any other shop who use SinglePoint if you want to use your Live! handset properly!

SinglePoint are not part of Vodafone, theyare just a service provider who buys airtime from Vodafone to re-sell as a package to their customers. Much like a Travel Agent does with flights from airlines.

You need to take the problem to SinglePoint, not Vodafone. Other service providers can offer the free MMS promotion and GPRS because their billing systems are up-to-date. GPRS has been out a while now on Vodafone and SinglePoint have never been able to offer it, they have taken their time over this billing issue.

They originally said GPRS would be available last January, then March, then April, then I gave up, and it still isnt available!

Dont get your hopes up! If your in your 14days take it back and cancel and use a real provider
