SE Z610i or Nokia 7373? |

Hi. First time posting here. I hope you don't mind if I ask you guys for help.
I've been toying with the idea of getting a new phone and I've narrowed it down to two -- The SE Z610i's Luster Black and the Nokia 7373's Bronze Black.
I'm not much of a phone freak, so I wouldn't really know how to compare and decide which is better.
Just a couple of things:
- I'm mainly wanting a design phone because I want to be girly and have a purty phone (don't roll your eyes).
- I don't particularly care about the MP3, FM radio and the camera features. I have an iPod and a digicam, so I'm not particular about those features in the phone.
- I'm a big SE fan, but the one thing that scares me about the z610i is that it's said that the cover is prone to scratches and smudges -- And I'm a major klutz. >_>
- I hate Nokia, but this phone is pretty. ^^; And I noticed that Nokia usually has a bigger capacity for messages than SE. Well, the ones I've had, that is. I used to own an Nokia 7650 and it could hold over a hundred messages. My SE k750i doesn't hold a lot in comparison. Does anyone have any idea re: the two units' message capacity?
I wasn't sure where exactly this topic would fall under since it's re: both an SE and Nokia unit. I hope this is okay.
Help!

@amanda - Welcome to Esato ! I don't know much of the specs of the Nokia 7373 . . . since I am assuming that you are a here . . . I guess the Z610i will suit your taste
Good Luck with the outcome . . .

Since you don't care about the features I'd say it's all in tastes. Depends which one you like the best. They'll both suit your needs perfectly so it's all up to you.

Welcome to Esato! BTW good choices - both very nice phones.
I prefer the techno gadget gimmickry of a swivel over the admittedly cool clamshell form; the Nokia does have more features like FM radio, 8x Zoom and 128Mb memory card standard...
however the Z610 has that great User Interface, Video Camera and A2DP. Tough choice.
The 7373 is EDGE compatible where as the Z610 is UMTS (3G). As I live in a UMTS country, this would be the deciding factor for me.

Having them sided by side shows the Z610i is a bit bulky, but the glossy finish on the z610i is much nicer than the 7373 |

In this thread the author was seriously eyeing up the Z610 as his next phone and ended up with a W850i (and lovin' it).
EDIT: Added W850i to the comparison link above.

imo both are lady fones, the se is sporty, the nokia is more elegant. imo at the nokia its a big bug, that no chance to pick up the fone when its closed. it would have been smarter by nokia to design it that way

I'm personally in favour of the 7373. It has a very nice screen and because you don't care about tech really, 3G isn't a problem.
Compared to the Z610, I think that the 7373 has a quality feel about it, whereas the Z610 feels more plasticky.
So I'd go with the 7373.

Z610 is anything but a fashion phone IMO. Sure it looks great from the outside but look at the cheapness from the inside. They keypad and rest of the interior gives an incredibly cheap look. The 7390 is what i call a true fashion flip phone. Giving a mere shiny surface doesnt automatically make a phone fashion phone. Look at the generic accessories that comes with Z610, is there anything that defines it as a fashion phone? Compare that to a 7390/7373, they're true fashion phone, not to mention they're better features wise aswell. Bigger better screen and 3.2MP AF camera on 7390. And 7390 isnt all the expensive too.
Not to mention Z610 doesnt even have a radio, which is inexplicable!
