Is it just me or is there anyone else going off them? I find they scratch very easily. A couple I bought recently also have'nt been made very well, the hole next to the ear piece on the crystal case for the Sony Ericsson K800i doesnt even align properly - proberly a dodgey batch.

They were purchased from mobilefun all the same.

Roll on the IPK-100 case!

Same here. I've just gone through my 5th case due to clips breaking. I bought a black silicone case and screen protector from Pivot last week and will be using them from now on.

Although the plastic cases from Carphone warehouse are very good and well made. Much better than the ones I had from Ebay.
The last two I had were from CPW and the last one lasted me nearly 4 months.
Shame they've put the price up for them to £12.99/£14.99 depending which store you go in (Were origionally £4.99 for a red K800 plastic case and £9.99 for the clear one)
I tried sniffing coke once but didnt like it. The bubbles kept going up my nose

I notice there seems to be a couple variants of the crystal case for the K800i, could well be for other handsets as well.

On previous crystal cases the clips were in different places. Only now are the clips in the places which your talking about and the mould of the case a bit different, in my case its ill fitting!

Obviously a different manufacturer.

I've emailed mobilefun about this. One of these crystal cases which is ill fitting cracked within a couple weeks of being on the phone.

Also there was plastic burrs still on the crystal case, it really was not made to an acceptable standard where ever it was made.

The 2 different types of crystal case I've seen for the K800 can be identified by looking at the rear section.

One type has a thin piece of plastic which seperates the flash from the camera lens section (causes glare on the picture when a picture is taken with the flash)

The other doesen't have the plastic seperator and is the better version. Clips are in a much better place as well (placed on the sides, 2 per side and are larger)

Yep thats what I'm on about although I find the newer 2 clips on each side and one on the top to be the worst case. The holes do not line up properly to the long buttons next to the ear piece on the latest ones I have.

The one with the clip on the top, sides and in one of the bottom corners are the worst ones. Very weak plastic and do not line up very well.

The second one I mentioned just has 2 large clips on each side. No others. Much better fit and lot stronger plastic.

EDIT

This is the decent crystal case

Thats the one I used to get, now I've only got the "worst" kind because the others are scratched up.

No reply as yet from mobilefun about this, it appears they are happy to sell you crap.

i prefer silicon case....

however i have come across such combination between crystal case and silicon case recently... its softer than crystal case... but harder than silicon case :swt:
but the looks is horrible. i just stay with my silicon case up to today because my silicon case cutting was appear to be one of the best...

I have had crystal cases in the past, they were pretty good. Put if you keep taking them on and off, the clips eventually snap off and then the 2 pieces don't hold together.

Bought a crystal case for my P990 the other week, and whenever I hold the phone tight, the case will activate the screen, basically making the touhscreen useless.

I never liked the silicon case, coz it makes the phone hard to remove from a tight pocket.
