Unlocking method for W950i |

Hi I am new to the forum.
I have obtained my unlocking code for my w950i, yet it says for me to press * move joystick left twice then press * again to allow me to bring up menu to enter the code yet this doesn't seem to work. Anyone have any ideas?

You need to use the jog wheel as the joystick

Left is up and right is down.

Thanks mate will try that. Cos I was given technique of * left left * to bring up menu for unlocking code. Is that correct? |

If memory serves me right its UP*DOWN DOWN*DOWN* and that will take u to service menu.

It's left, *, *, left for the unlocking menu.
Or, if those instructions for the W950i are correct, it would be up, *, *, up.

Those instructions are incorrect it is "DOWN * * DOWN"
Trust me i have just done it!

Positive, i have my W950i in my hand and i have just done it again!!
So thats.........
From the standby screen jog dial DOWN * then * again and then jog dial DOWN once more and the lock selection screen will be displayed!

Don't do anything with that screen unless you need to unlock your phone and have the correct code from the network provider!!
Just forget it exists!

I bought from the 'Bay a w950i locked to Orange UK and it's IMPOSSIBLE to unlock it!
I tried your trick and all six options appear locked!!! and when I select one, it tells me "no more trials left". Any ideas????? Please??? |
