Hi Boba,

IMO it is the best as it is just so easy to install and use plus offers more than just Skype although this is all i use it for. The fact it also supports Google, MSN and now even SIP makes it superior to the other apps that are available plus of course it is free and continually being improve.

Never mind i love my SE, which i don't any longer I love my Fring i really do.

Hi Boba,

As i am on the basic Web N Walk tariff i am not allowed to use it over 3G/GPRS so only use it over WiFi. I also get 250 free WiFi Hot spot minutes with my BT broadband deal so can still use over WiFi whilst out at no cost.

At long last Mobile Data has become a reality as the prices are reasonable and speeds are fast enough and getting faster. I really do believe that at long last the projected Mobile Data explosion is starting to happen and is going to really be big in the coming years. As Mobile Data has been a passion of mine from way back when it was still analogue and 9,600kbps i couldn't be happier or more excited by all this.

Hi Boba,

Sorry can't help very rarely use chat or texting as i just hate them, all that typing annoys me so prefer e-mails or actually talking to someone.

Hi Boba,

After opening Fring go to options, settings and the disable auto start is the first step other wise it will launch every time after turning on the phone. Then you can also change the connection depending on what you want to choose.

Hi Boba,

I think i can see what you mean i have auto start off so it doesn't connect if i turn the phone on but as soon as i start the app it does try to connect. In which case change the connection type to Wlan then at least that won't cost you anything. I suppose really it starting once you go to the app makes sense as until it connects to the server and you Log in it doesnt have any use or function. I can live with the way it behaves as by disabling auto start it is not going to drain my battery running in the background when i don't really need it or want it. When i need to use it i realise it needs to Log in for me to be able to do anything so accept it looking for a connection once launched. I have also found just closing it or exiting doesn't always actually close the app so i use Handy Taskman to shut it down after use. Even with these minor niggles i still love it all the same.
