I think it's because your card is sooo big - I may be wrong

It's because you have too many songs to load, and because you use 2 GB card which makes your phone a little bit slower.

i've got a k750 with 4gb mem card and 215 individual songs,74 60 min+ dance mixes,599 files in my picture folder,121 videos and 67 games and can access any of the instantly.i dont think the size of the mem card is the problem.

I may be wrong, but it might help if you create subfolders of, say, 10-15 songs! It'll be a lot faster to open them (sort them by artist, or mood, or whatever tickles your pickle...) - made my k750 much faster, makes pc's faster, makes the world go round [addsig]

it is because of the quantity of single files.... i have that problem too.try to organize the songs into folders using your criteria... like a folder for country music, one for metal,etc...

The media player, and Walkman, app(s) can be a little slow to load songs, on occasion, as it has to go through and read all the ID Tags for display. Therefore, the more songs the app has to load, the slower it will be.

However, the File Manager app will have no problem displaying them quickly, as it does not go through and load all the ID Tags.

As someone just said, if one loads one's CDs into individual folders, under the MP3 folder, this will help speedup individual CD load and playback. However, if one tries to playback all songs in all folders under the MP3 folder, it's still going to be a bit slow to load - particularly if one does this in Shuffle Mode.

Not if you create playlists.

Not if you create playlists.

Playlists store the names and ID of the files in the folders from wich they were uploaded. So if you move one song to another folder, on the playlist it won't play, you'll get a Playback failed message.

So when you select all music or all videos, the system has to scan the folders for the files individually, hence the longer time to load.
