Hi everyone...

Come take a look at http://www.nokia.com/betalabs

They offer u the chance to beta test some of their new apps months/years before they are offered fully as a release!!!

AND ALL FOR FREE!

If u have a GPS enabled N95 or another nokia handset with external gps reciever u can download a program called Sports Tracker which as it says tracks your movements via GPS and plots it as a map!!! Which u can then export to Google Maps like i have done to show u below from my daily bike ride i go on!!!

Its also home to the Nokia QR Code Builder and the Wellness Diary which tracks ur health etc etc...

this reminds me of the ericsson R250s PRO, you could track others and see your own track later on a computer.
my god it takes years before any company can catch up to ericsson.
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA

@jojo...

its only about 7km... takes bout 30mins to do each night but its so nice that i take ma time!!!

I also walk it every second week instead of using my bike just to use some different muscles every now and then lol...

The sports tracker is only available for Nokia Handsets... 3rd Edition Symbian ones... so no SE or other manufacturers...

Hi Bart,

Yes indeed at one time Ericsson really where leaders in pushing forward tech, It's just such a shame they had to get into to bed with Sony and look where that has taken them. It may of got them a bigger market share and more sales. But at what price? where has the leading edge tech and quality and reliability gone. Come back Ericsson all is forgiven and goodbye Sony really couldn't happen quick enough for me and is possibly the only way i will get to own a Ericsson phone again as i won't be rushing for any SE. Even that glorious P700 only has a lot of Ram all the rest of it is old spec's on a new device they really could of done so much more.

I do admire the pace of Nokia, releasing all those great apps for s60 users, and i think SE should learn with that (it seems in the second semester we will start to see some stuff)

But regarding that app, there is a free java app that does the same and works in all phones with java/gps support
