I wish to get rid of the shut down logo and change it to something a little nicer. At the moment I get the Vodophone script at shut down.

I have managed to change the theme and everthing else but not the shutdown logo. Anyone help?

I have the Sony Ericson W810i

Thanks !

Hi,

In order for you to change the shutdown logo, you will need to access the internal file system of the w810. Either by XS++ or FAR Manager.
The shutdown image is located at \\tpa\\preset\\system\\settings. Hope this helps a bit.

Tried the link. I wouldnt even know where to start, and on top of that Id probably muck up my phone.

Thanks for the suggestions though!

Ok. I now have the far file. Opened it up and I have a two blue boxes that show the files on the computer. What do I do now?

IMO, using XS++ is less riskier, but it takes longer, than FAR. If you'd like to try XS++, you can get it HERE

Thanks for that. I downloaded it.

As instructed switched off phone. Pressed and held down C key. Then connected USB cable. All within 30 seconds. Came back with error to the effect it did not find phone. However my computer did and gave me the option to open files etc. Is it perhaps another key other than the C key I should be pressing on the W810i ? Do I simply press the C key once or hold it down?

I will get there eventually

Hi,

Did you remove sim card and memory card? and do you have the W810 drivers installed?

No. Kept everything in. As for the drivers I think they are in place because I can open, use and view all the files from my phone on my computer.
