Works great for me. Be very careful not to let the battery discharge 100% - USB can't recover on some handsets.
Otherwise USB works fine - however, you need to set up the handset drivers on your PC first - since the handset will not charge unless the drivers are installed. |

i think it does not matter. if it wouldnt be good to chage via USB, it wouldnt be good to transfer files via USB.

never heard or read about any problems or disadvantages regarding this...
Maybe if you had a very "dodgy" pc??? Anyhow, For a year+ I mostly charged my k750 via usb, no problems!

I have to charge my K800i via the USB cable due to some slight moisture damage, which it does fine, though it won't charge the phone above 92-93% but I've had no problems so far.
