The LCD on my phone a W810i does not illuminate, not sure if its just the LCD and need it to replace or something else....anyone had this problem....and if you want the story here it is.......

Lets say that my phone a w810i decided to go take a swim, for about 50 seconds....the phone went crazy and suddenly the phone died. I took phone completely apart and let it dry off...two days later i put it back together and the phone pretty much works, except for the LCD does not illuminate......its on...... it just does not illuminate....i want to know if its the LCD or something else...Has anyone made their Phone take a swim? and does anyone know where to find a cheap oem LCD...

I'd say that there is water damage, but it could be on your screen or could be on the connector on the mainboard.

You can try a different screen in the phone, costs about £30 off Ebay, but if it still doesn't light up I suspect it could be the mainboard that's at fault, and you're probably looking at a new phone!

Well the best practice is to remove the battery from a waterlogged phone, asap... This minimises damage to the circuit, as it cuts off the current...
And you can find t6 screw at a elect. repair shop...

It's only the LED-backlight. The LED-backlight has separate connections (Anode-Kathode) on the same flex cable as the driver IC for the LCD. Probably bad connection after you took it apart and assembled it again. Check the connector again and make sure no dust or particles are stuck somewhere.
