from the many threads we here about what to do with water damage usually you should remove the battery immediately and open the housing to allow it to air dry in a warm place

since there will still be some corrosion the service centre will generally know it has had water damage and there is no excuse you can give to get warranty cover for that

until its totally dry.

for the best chance of it working again, don't attempt to put it back together or insert the battery to see if its working until you're sure its totally dry

Try wrapping it in a cloth and putting on top of a fire (Mantle piece)

My Old phone survived me dropping it in the bath full of hot boiling water,
it was abit itchy to begin with but it was fine in the end

insurance? dude, this is romania, not UK. we must wait a couple of years to do that!!
and sonic bath....if i tell someone at the service center to do a sonic bath he will say: wtf? is this guy from outer space??

i told him to pus over the radiator at least over night. not right on the radiator, but over a few inches and open as much as he can. he told me he has screwdrivers for opening the damn phone.

@boba - Is there such a thing as - sonic bath

It is always recommended to use a HAIR-DRYER when drying the integral parts of the fone . . . just the appropriate HEAT and NOT the fiery one ! [addsig]
