Why is it that the loudness of alarm is the same as that of the ring tone? Why cant i keep the alarm to its max, and ring tone to minimum. There should have been an option to set alarm loudness separately.

what phone? Set alarm to max and switch phone off/to flight mode? Or get "advanced alarm manager" - so, all depends on what phone... Though I'd agree with boba - have mine on ascending, can't stand that sudden blaring no matter what ringtone!!! [addsig]

I am talking about N71(S60 3rd edition). What i actually wanted was different volume of alarms from ringtone. Is this possible through that programme you mentioned?

yeah - am currently wapping though... But if you browse handango.com or symbiangear.com (or similar sites) you should be able to find an Advanced Alarm manager - you can set different alarms for difference purposes, different loudness etc etc etc another programme "Mobile Task", allows you to start your musicplayer at a certain time (loud) but keep your ringtone at low!!! You can download trialversions straight to phone from symbiangear, or to pc from handango... Try before you buy!!! [addsig]
