I'm going to buy Ericsson R380. Will you please tell me (preferred from own experience) is it a good or bad phone? Is it worth $100?

well, it has no GPRS, BT, has IR, large display, it is chunky, heavy, keys are bad, battery lasts cca. 2 days cos of big display....
It is on the other hand useful if you are not very hairsplitting.

when I bought mine it was-new-1200 DEM, so 100$ is fair price.

I had one when it was first released. Loved it to bits!
The big screen makes it very easy to use and gives WAP a new look. If it had'nt been for the lack of GPRS I would never have gotten rid of it.

i had one for about 2 months. everyone was quite amazed when i used it in school. but it's kinda heavy and doesnt fit well in my pocket (my pants sag if its in my pants pocket). sms composition is slow coz ya have to click on the letters with the stylus (but with the handwriting function it speeds up a bit). cant add any games or apps though... it uses an OS, there should be some add on functionality. alas, i sold the phone already. i kinda miss the oooohs and aaaahs whenever i use it

It's a good price, I bought a brand new one for just under UK£100 including courier delivery (a hefty addition to the price).

It comes with a great stand compatible with T68i, T28 etc. etc. and a DRS-10 cable, leather case, proper Ericsson hands-free and multi-country plugs for the charger.

The landscape screen is excellent and white backlit.

It is Symbian OS, but it is restricted due to memory and you cannot download any Psion programs (which is a shame).

For Outlook synchronisation, email and WAP it is very good. A little on the big side, but it does have a speakerphone built-in.
