New SE phones announcement on next Monday? |

I think next Monday is a very good time for Sony Ericsson to present their new phones......
Or else, the remaining dates in November are also good time.
As Ericsson is going to have an event on next Monday,
the Vice-President will also attend to have a speak.
Also, Ericsson is going to have an exhibition in "3GSM Congress" and "ITU2002 Asia" in the beginning of December, Sony Ericsson products will also be on display. Thus, I think SE will unveil their new phones very shortly, or say, someday in November.
Yet I think some exciting products may still be hided until Cebit next year...... |

I was hoping someone would say this later on in the week to avoid crazyness but by the looks of it he is right my contact at  suggested to me that this may happen
we know the new phones are being developed its just a case of what they look like
usually announces at cebit and communicasia

IMO it is the time to let to show off their new phones. Or else the market will not has much confidence to . Especially a large number of new phones have/will been announced by Nokia, Siemens, etc |

Well let's just hope that they (if they show any phones) will not be as slow as they have been erlier when it comes to getting the phones to the stores from the pressconferance... |

I don't know about ITU2002, but 3GSM Congress is 17-21 February 2003, Communicasia is mid of June 2003, and Cebit is somewhere mid of March 2003. So we have plenty of time waiting for the new SE phones to be announced. Except if they announce them before that. We will see what happens.

According to Swedish web page http://www.mobil.nu Sony Ericsson will introduce at least one new High-End phone on Monday. The phone will have a 65 000 colours screen, bluetooth etc. In the article Peter Bodor at Sony Ericsson answers "I can almost deny that we are not introducing a new phone on monday". Quite cryptic since denying not to introduce means introduce. Either he made a mistake or he made a delicate rhetoric announcement. Still, Kurt Hellstrom, President at Ericsson said a couple of weeks ago that Sony Ericsson will introduce 5 new products before the end of the year, and theses products would for the first time really show what was meant with the joint-venture. So even if there will be no announcements on Monday we will se cool new products from Sony Ericsson soon. And this will finally be the first products actually developed by the new company and not "old" rebranded products from Ericsson or Sony.

New Sony Ericsson phone for US-market. T608 is the first CDMA-phone with Bluetooth. This gives us a hint of what the new design-concept will look like. In my opinion the new Sony Ericsson design-concept is extremely elegant and clean. I am personally tired of the Nokia design, which have been pretty much the same for a couple of years. if this is how the new phones from SE are going to look like... I hate them! I find them hedious. And I'll buy something else. Even Mitsubishi is doing better with the new M320.
