SE is sleeping since a long time. Their latest phones are ugly (T200...) and I don't expect anything great from this company. The only thing they did is to put a SonyEricsson sticker and add a "i" on the T68 Ericsson phone. What else? P800? Much better phone (SPV, 7650, etc) will be on the market when the P800 will be released! |

Do you really beleive that the T68 is made by ericson & th T68i is made by Sonyericsson HA HA HA, Badge engineering is the oldest trick in the book, the T68 AND T68i are a Malaisian product made specifically for the sonyericsson partnership the T68/i could NEVER have been acheived by ericsson. but they are very good at development & sony are top manufacturers, you watch how many P800`s they sell, the pent up demand is HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE. |

I don't really care where it is made...as long at it meets my needs and is a good product - and the T68 models beats any other phone currently available on the market. |

Both the T68 and the T68i are Ericsson developments. The Ericsson R600 is made by a asian company, and the T66 is made by MicroCell in finland. |

The Ericson help desk told me in november 2001 (when i bought my MADE IN MALAYSIA T68m) that i`d have to wait for specific info on th product because as it wasn`t an ERICSSON PRODUCT I think it`s th best phone i`ve ever had but i`m sorry if you guys in northern europe had got a hurt pride, but it is a MALAYSIAN phone i live in th UK i dont CARE where stuff is made as long as its QUALITY & most Ericsons before it were UNRELIABLE PIECES OF CRAP maybe they label the T68/i different in different countries....in fact why not tell the forum where your pnone is manufactured..it`s under the battery mine says MALAYSIA........THATS M A L A Y S I A ! |

ppcrocker I never said it wasn`t developed by Ericsson, They are very good at that indeed. i`m purely talking about production, as in where the thing is actually produced. Ericsson even released a statement in early 2001 stating they were to pull out of phone production. whats the problem with some of the other forum users accepting the facts. Most things in UK that were ALL BRITISH like TRIUMPH MOTORCYCLES are now only a usable product because it`s not british it`s just the modern way & it works.

Patchy! You are making a fool out of yourself. Just because your phone is made in Malaysia doesn't mean that every T68 is made there. My first T68m was made in Sweden(oktober-2001), and my new T68i is made in Malaysia.
The production-places are by the way a VERY OLD topic-just check the link.
