After a lot of reading, It seems most people say to recharge the t68i battery while it still has some charge left (around 30-50%).

There are also some of the oppinion that as well as doing this, the battery *should* be completely discharged every week or two.

Is there a general consensus as to which method(s) are best?

Oh, and that the phone should be ON when charging the battery

(This does make a significant difference as I found out recently!)

Well.. I always charge my battery when the batt. indicator is red. I also have my T68 for a year and never had any problems with all my 3 batteries.

They battery is of the same type as in the T28. It means that you can charge it how you want it, off, on, 50% 80% left doesn't matter.

And I can tell you that it is like this, my father that have had a T28 for really a long time, talked 450h in it and charged it about every day doesn't matter if it is on or off, or if it is low on battery. When you have time charge it.

Fully loaded battery on my T68mi lasts for about 10days, if I talk very little. How about yours?

my battery lasts about 6 days, and there is a correct method of charging it so you can get maximum battery power, but it's so intricate and only adds about 20 hours of standby time so it's not really worth it. i mean, everyone pretty much has at least 5 days of standby time, how can you complain...

It's a lithium poly, in other words it doesn't affect the performance of the battery, but it will shorten it's life slightly as the battery Ithnk lasts for 10000 charges

I always plug it in when I go to sleep at night when it's in the yellow.

I don't really think it still matters with these batteries...
