intresting, but my experiences with 8800 and sirocco are more then diappointing. way too overpriced for a fone with a lets say 6230i featured fone

yeah, thats been said 100 times here but the usual response is that its more about the styling than the functionality

shame Nokia couldn't have put both into it though...

8800 is fantastic phone actually... I've got it over any other phone.. I've had 6230s and 6230is too
I'm not bothered about megapixel camera tbh I hardly use the camera on this one...! MP3 player isnt a bother either... have my iPod for that..

This 8600 seems awful thuogh... the cheap man's sirocco... nasty stuff

@vein its a very good point u got there, but to release 8800 and the sirocco later, witht almost the same features, is a bit pointless for me

pictures seems real enough for me. but the design of that mobile is hideous. 88xx are supposed to be classy and exclusive. that model looks like it belongs in the 6xxx or maybe 7xxxx-class.

but since the subscripts are 8600 meaning less than:
8850, 8855, 8890, 8910, 8810 and 8800

i interpret that as it is not a member of the high class 88xx

it belongs in the same family as 8210, 8310, 8250 etc?

@ Boba,

Although i prefer the feel and design of my 8800SE over the Sirocco it did double the on board memory and also gave us the BP-6X 700 aMh Li-Polymer battery which really is much better than the original battery as i use it in my 8800SE and it makes a huge difference. Really the 8800 is not about features it is about design and feel as IMO you really can't beat an all metal stylish phone for just phone calls, although i actually currently use mine as an MP3 player when walking the dog with a blue tooth headset and the sound is really good.

N91 is the closest thing to a 8800 type full featured phone.

Well, IMO, it looks ugly and lacks the style of the 8xxx series.

But the 8600 looks really good. It's meant to be the cheaper brother of the 8800.
