I got my t68i yesterday and while the batt wasn't completley empty (only had 3mins left accoring to the phone so lets say 10) i thought what the hell i need it for tomorrow lets charge it. Left it overnight so it had a good 8 hours'ish charge. I've used it today but only made about 20mins if that of phone calls and sent 1 mms. BUT half my battery life has gone! Even my t39m didn't do that. With that usage i could have got 4days out of the batt icludin leavin it on overnight. Is this normal?

your battery aint buggered it just needs to be run in, it will take a couple charges to get to full speed.

Although it seams as the battery might be defective, you should charge it about 5 times before it reaches full capacity...
