N73 General Opinion needed |

Hi folks,
I have decided to go for my first phone purchase in almost 2 yrs. I need a smartphone - non touchscreen and seem to have zeroed in on the N73. Me not a big fan of clamshells...so the likes of the N93 are out of contention. All i need is good connectivity viz, EDGE, BT et all..
Would N73 be a good choice? Or is the N80 a better choice. Opinions from folks who have used both would be valuable?
Also, is the music edition sound quality comparable to that of the walkman series?
NOTE: I am an fan...but no phone from suits my requirements as of now..

Well i had the N80 and now got the N73 and on the whole the N73 is better i think. The only think the N80 has over the N73 is the wifi, the N73 has got a way better battery, better software i think and a lot better screen.
The question is do you need wifi? |

Lot better screen? N80 has one of the best screens ever implemented in a cellphone IMO. N73's screen res. is less than that of N80 |

Okie, as i see things now:
N80: Has wifi, better screen 352 x 416 pixels as opposed to 240 x 320 pixels for the N73. But :bt: implementation is poor i guess only version 1.2??
Also no auto focus or carl zeiss lens.
N73: No wifi, ok screen when compared too N80, BETTER BLUETOOTH??, and whats the ehole upnp thingy is that any useful??

I would get the N73, the N80 is abit boring especialy in silver, N73 screen is beautiful and i dont see a huge difference between N80 and N73 screen quality HONESTLY! N73 also looks and feels so much more solid and comfortable in your hand,i cant believe Nokia were able to actualy make such a gud looking s60

I would say go for the N73, although the N80 has a more user friendly keypad.
and i have the N80 for sale and not the N73. And yes i would ship to India. |

@whizkidd
If you don't need WiFi and want a better battery life the N73 is the one to go for unless of course you like sliders.
UPnP is media server software between your computer and phone and some Televisions have this tech in them. Basically it allows you to view or stream content from your phone to your computer or computer to phone or if you have a compatible TV to that.

go for n73, the n80 has a bad build quality and many units are complaining about it, and the software of n80 is not stable and is prone to crashing even if you updated to the latest firmware. |

Excuse me but that's rubbish! The N80 is more stable than say the W800 which is saying a lot for a smartphone. The build quality is excellent and the screen IS better than the N73. The battery lasts one day which is fine by me. The only thing the N73 has over the N80 is the camera. The N73 squeaks all over it has a tiny keypad and its 30% bigger than it needs to be. |
