Airtel GPRS down? |

I've recently not been able to connect to the net through GPRS; neither in Netfront nor in Opera Mini. The first page of any site loads quickly enough, but the second page doesn't show and I get the error message 'Connecton failure. Check your settings. If problem persists, call operator for support.' The TECH support at Airtel is not good. One of those people recommended that I do a network search to improve connectivity but since then the connectivity's been virtually dead. Is everybody (on Airtel GPRS) facing the same problem or it is just my phone? |

Which is down. Free or paid.
Actually heard that some upgradation is on in their servers nowadays. Maybe due to that. But not sure abt that.

It's the prepaid network I'm talking about. Gosh, I really hope they're making the network truly EDGE! That would be great! Whatever happened to the 3g licensing thing anyway? Even 4g is raising it's head and we're stuck on just 2g?

3g was tested in pune and bangalore some weeks before (on operator level). though commercial launch would take some 4 months. |

I wouldn`t even call it 2G, considering the pathetic speed I get with Airel Gprs. I shud say its jus 0.5 G ( half G) |

neha i am satisfied with ajit because many time in a single day. This message appear on my mobile also. Mostly i am using reporo chal client from my mobile and it often hangs while reporo is just consuming 2 to 3 kbps. I have called many times to C.C. but they are either fool or fooling me by saying that airtel have speed around 115kbps, (broadband?????!), my phone doesn/t support 3g but it have class 10 gprs (40-48kbps) which is upto the mark. If airtel provide me just 30 kbps then i am very greatful to him. Not looking in near future however u can reply me satyendra.ahm@gmail.com if u find the solution |

Imo NO.
Instead of recharge coupons, use flexi-charge, that is through phone. |
