Well, a friend of mine is scared about radiation from phones and hes starting to freak me out.

He wont carry his phone in his pocket says it might damage thigh or make him infertile.

Sometimes wraps foil round his phone,

Can i have ur views on this

and is there a more practical way for him rather than foil.

Yes there is, it called public telephone booth and a pager.

Seriously now that I am about to have three kids and your friend might be true, I might consider carrying 2 mobile phones each on my two pants pockets. It could be cheaper than using condoms.

Yeah, cancer, my wife got it , but luckily she is diagnosed very early. But consider this. The phone is not alone in transmitting the radiowave. There is also Base Station (BTS). Now your friend claim to protect against his cellphone radiowave but how he protect against BTS radiowave. My logic is that both radiowave must be at same strenght in order for them to talk each other. (I could be wrong here) Not to mention wifi signal, wireless phone signal, radio signal from device like Handie Talkie, etc that is around us in daily life.

Yes the cellphone may increase its power during conversation but you may use wired headset for that (remember bluetooth also emit power).

Well, I am not power user of mobile (I only have them in pants pocket when I walk/drive only 3-4 hr a day), and my average conversation time is only 30mins a day. If your friend is power talker then he might justified his paranoia.

The best way to not be exposed at all is not to use all of these and live somewhere in a forest in Kenya perhaps, and eats lots of brocollies, tomatoes, green vegies, etc, etc.

Yeah, my wife is a non drinker, non smoker, prefer drink water than sodas etc and yet she still got it
Anyway I won't dismiss the risk but I think as long as your batt can last 2 days before charging (mean normal use) then I don't believe your mobile phone is causing a health concern.

am sorry to hear about ur wife but the chances her cancer is anyway related to radiation from mobiles is minute...

ppl get cancer and doctors cant explain how they got it... its nature!

Random things happen to ppl an animals an anything in the world! B4 mobiles it was electricity pylons... before them it was TV's, before them it was electricity and before that it was gas lighting!!!

In the end if u dont want to come into contact with any radio waves u need to find a small corner of the amazon rain forest... paint ur walls with carbon layered paint and have no windows (or if u do make sure they r carbon coated.... or live in a farraday cage (a type of box that blocks ALL known radio waves!)

I would worry more about the PC you are sitting in forunt of, or your TV etc than your mobile.

LOL! seriously, man...

mobile phones have been around for a decade or so. have we seen anyone suing mobile phone companies for getting cancer off cell phone usage? obviously, 10 years would be enough for a clinical trial at least? even FDA trials takes 7 years at the most...
