i use an AT&T based T68i here in NYC and when i search for networks, only AT&T Wireless and T-mobile are options. Cingular is nowhere to be found.

They sell the T68i for their own networks too here in nyc. i dont understand why i can see them when i try to look for their circuits.

is this b/c AT&T and Cingular use the same circuits? i thought AT&T shared circuits w\ T-mobile in the greater nyc area. (which is why i could never understand people who compare AT&T GSM service to T-mobile service... i always thought they would be the same on the same type of phone)

anyone have any idea about this?

thanks in advance,

Costas.

As far as I know Cingular share circuits with T-Mobile in the New York area and in trade T-Mobile get to use Cingular circuits in California.
