i doubt sony erricsson would split. This p800 is meant to be better than the 7650 leaving it with no competition. It will probably sell well regaining some lost sales. However the 7250 is coming out and to be honest looks a lot better, its all down to the features that the 2 major companies can pack into their phones for users.

I think SE will be ok as soon as they release the p800, as there are so many ppl waiting for it, but after the p800. Just hope the p800 makes expectations.

Oh yeah, this is the end. I mean, they are about to release a phone that is probably one of the most anticipated phones ever. People everywhere are nagging about why on earth they havent released it yet, and that they are going to buy one when it comes out.
And then you have the ones that will NOT buy it, because it isnt worth it, and they are going to buy another phone instead which is much better. Of course, they have to say this in a discussion regarding the P800 because noone else cares enough about the other phones to discuss it in large numbers.
Every new phone released/announced is compared to it, and no phone(even announced) comes close to it. Everyone who has tried the phone is impressed, and every review of it so far(with beta software mind you) is extremely positive.
Oh yeah, SE is going dooooown. Great analysis, I'm impressed.
And how the hell is Nokia 7250 a better phone? They are not even in the same category. 7250 is a 7210 with a built in camera, whooopi-bleedin-dooo. Considering how unexciting the 7210 was, I'm looking forward to this one. Maybe they can even make it fully MMS compliant before they attach a camera to it.

SE has a great future if you just would hire good project managers that won't let their new phones be so damn delayed.
All the phones in the new SE line are awesome and beats all competition. They need to increase volume though. |

The P800 is all very well, and will be pitched against the (successful - hard though it is to believe) Nokia 7650.
The real winner will be the T300 once it ships in numbers. This is the cheapest MMS and colour phone available, and it will have changeable faceplates, downloadble games and polyphonic ringtones on top of everything else like an attachable camera. Forget the T68i and Nokia 7210 etc., they have their merits but their list price is far higher and this is what will sell phones - their price.
Cheap phones sell, Nokia's biggest seller this year is the 3310 series because it's either cheap or free. That's the bread and butter.

see the thing is with is that they dont need 30 phones to be in the market
the t68i is still one of the best spec'd phones on the market and competes with phones in a few price sectors 7210 to 7650 and up
the t300 competes with about 6-7 nokia phones
the p800 has no real competiors yet if you go by spec (maybe 3650 just about)
arent big enough to release 30 phones a month but its products are so good, which means only need 6 main products to compete with nokias 30 odd range
new phones are due soon maybe not until cebit next year but that isnt too far away.

the P800 is not a mass market tho - there is only going to be about 500,000 of them to start off - i dont think this can make a difference!!!

T200 is becoming a success. Might be the next 3310 - if only it was a bit faster. |

ur a bit cocky aren't you. 7250 is a class phone even if it doesn't do everything an SE can do because it is one of the boldest designs ever and looks really 'fahionable' if you will. look at the p800 looks good? think not. Yeh they are different leagues but im just making a point about the designs. Nokia will always outsell Sony Ericsson for the time being whether the phone is good or not. Why? Because of the brand that has been built over time, a loyal fan base and the massive range of their product line catering for literally everyone
