well basically vodka was spilt on my phone while i was taking pictures at a club! The camera cover was open.
Now if you look closely at the camera lens you can see a droplet of liquid trapped inside, and whenever I try to take a picture the shutter wont open and all the camera sees is pitch black.
Since I see that this forum has people who know a bit more about these things than I do, I wanted to see your thoughts on the situation..
First of all.. the liquid is tightly trapped and doesnt move at all.. could the mere pressure caused by the liquid actually be jamming the shutter from opening? If thats the case then the problem should be easy to fix.
Otherwise maybe the mechanism that opens the shutter has been damaged?
Also.. the mobile is covered with a years warranty.. Do you guys think I could get away with them fixing it for me?
Thanks a lot!

You need to turn the phone off, take the battery out and leave it somewhere warm to dry out thoroughly. The vodka could get onto the phones mainboard and kill that too
Sadly the warranty may well not cover moisture damage, many don't unfortunately, have a look through the small print and see if it does or not. If it does, get it sent off for a warranty repair.

well this happened to me on friday, and i've tried doing that but the trapped fluid has not even ddecreased in size. The only way of getting rid of it is removing the lens glass cover.. |
