mmm dunno - have u tried SPV yet??? do it - then decide - have not heard about unlocking SPV yet - remember if u want a handset unlocked - u have to pay £20.00 u/l fee plus remainder of 12 month contract which sits as a credit on your account (this is to recover the subsidy on the handset upfront) [addsig]

Well, SPV has great feature, 64k TFT screen, allows SDram cards, comes with a camera, and a lot of other cool things... but guess what? It doesn't allow picture phonebook at all! Grrrrr!!!

Orange are nit allowing the spv to be unlocked as much of the functionality ONLY works on orange-back up,applet downloads etc. You also have to subscribe to the flat rate(for 3 months)gors package then go onto a normal gprs pack. So no good if orange gprs is crap in your area......like mine

ummmmm, i really need to think about this. I need some more peoples opinions...

I have tried the SPV and it is very cool. I love the unified inbox, all messages in one place. But the drawback is no picture phonebook.....which i could live without.

Problem is, im on o2 and cant leave as my family and partner is on o2.

If i was sensible i would wait to see if o2 will release a similar handset....But im not!

If i did get an SPV i could use backup etc as my friend is on orange so could put her sim in and get the downloads etc.

lol so im so sure i want the 7650......But this SPV is niggling at me!

I wouldn't buy any phone that is locked and/or customized to one service provider.

The phone is amazing I should be taking delivery of it tomorrow.

I've had a good play with it so lemme answer some questions etc. :

@[MDS] the orangewebsite (www.orange.co.uk/spv) has got a rotate-able picture which is really good.
Reviews loads - try zdnet.com just type "orange spv microsoft" into yahoo or something

@marknicholls in comparison the 7650 is huge!!! It's out of date and the screen is the same size as the spv but less colours

@amagab Every phone I've had has been locked to Orange and I'm completely fine with that. No problems ever

PLUS ONE THING FOR Y'ALL TO THINK ABOUT... CAN YOU PLAY DOOM ON THE 7650?? NOPE

get this... as soon as mine comes 2mo I'm gonna buy a 128 SD card, think how many songs I can store on that, I could even get an episode of friends on that!!! It'll give me something to watch on the bus to work

I honestly think that it'll give the p800 a run for its money - I have a feeling that they may delay the p800 even further after see what this phone is capable of!

I sat in the orange shop and listened to Shakira straight from the windows media site! The phone is amazing (p.s. shakira was the first one on the screen and not my song of choice)
