@decay - I manage to get my hands on this last 9/2006 . . . used it for about a week or two and then SOLD it (while the price is still HIGH). I came from a K750i (thrice then, on several occasions . .) . . I was a BIT disappointed with it's camera, as it did NOT make MUCH of a difference if you have used a 2 MP camfone (of any brand here . . .). I think the only advantage of it from the K750 is it's- 3G (video call) feature, which I do not use much so I went back to the K750i.
But if I were to BUY one today . . . I won't hesitate in gettin' me one as the $$$ ALMOST halved from the time I bought it last year . . .
If I were to RATE it (being 10 the highest) . . . I guess, I'll give it a 7.5 and 8 will go to the K750i.

ive had my K800 since mid october 06, and i gotta say,,, im dissapointed, i mean, the software is as it should be, but too slow, the camera works, but i dont see any quality increasement from my W810, (do love the xenon-blitz (: ), and dont even get me started on the joystick, broken, and ill never get used to it,,, so ill either have to get another SE joysyickless phone or ill switch back to nokia (and live miserable ever after) |

i got my o2 K800i in august 06 and have never had a single problem with it at all.
Going by my own personal experience i think it`s quite possibly the best se phone i have had.
The only minor issue was the new style m2 memory card although it worked perfectly as i had a k750i previously and had the duo cards it ment buying new memory cards
Thanks |

I'm very satisfied with my K790. only thing that's frustrating is the failing joystick, it made me open it to clean it and now my screen has dust underneath. sad thing is, the dang thing is failing again! apart from that, it's an awesome phone.

I'm not at all satisfied with my K800i, or the 3 I've had before this last one. None of the phone's did what it says on the box and the faults luckily with the last 2 phones have all showed up within the 28 day exchange period.
3/10 in my book, a sorry excuse for what could be a good phone. I'm being told to flash the erom, up-date it etc... Why should I have to when the phone is 3 days old? |

I am satisfied with my K800.
There are some things I dislike such as the joystick and the easily opened camera lens cover. |

I was satisfied with the K800... for 4 months.
Then sold it and got a W810 as I dont use 3G that much and the 2mp cam of W810 is already fine with me. |

The best phone I ever got.
Coming from a w800i, it's like changing from a VW GTI to a Ferrari.
Good building quality, it's only the lenscover that opens to easy in your pocket that's a minus.
Even the speaker sounds better than the walkmanphone

some problems may vary from phone to phone,i admit i've never had a simple problem with my k800,some of you complane about joystick, but wait,it's great, works perfect,i wonder how are you feeling comfortable with Dpad while you have to move your thumb alot just for a simple navigate???
i think joystick(specially a quality-build joystick of mine)is the best navigation tool,have you tried nokia joysticks?they're terrible,3230,even N73.........SE joysticks are great,despite of dust,which is corrected in k800(at least MY k800)...
and about worthing upgrade : my previouse phone was K500,i think it is really worth upgrading huh?i've never had W or K750 and am not familiar with 2 MP camera, but have seen 2MP photos in dark environments, don't you believe they suck????..............so at least a xenon flash isn't enough for a phone??
and,how do you ignore body quality????scratch proof material,or birilliant display even under direct sunlight?isn't it just great?

Being a former user of K750 i have to say it was a minimal upgrade when i got hold of a K800. For a new SE user, K800 would be a pleasant experience.
7/10 i give it. |
