Hi there, i just got a faulty k300 from a friend. the *, 0, # and joystick are not working at all. i tried cleaning the keyboard but nothing worked. is this a firmware bug or hardware issue? i assume it is a hardware issue because it was working properly the last week.

Any help is welcome.

cheers!

i will check it again before flashing it. the phone is not mine, so my friend will decide what to do, not me.

Take it apart and give parts like the keyboard PCB and it's connector a good clean (though I think you may have already done this!).

You could give squirting that area with WD-40 a try to see if it works, though please don't hold me responsible if it bricks the phone completely! Though it's revived a previously moisture damaged and dead D500 for me so far!

clean the keypad's contacts from inside. It is the most likely solution. I had a n6630, it's 5 button was dead, cleaned with a soft cloth from inside, was as good as new.
