hi, i bought a k750 yesterday and noticed the pictures wernt very good, but i thought maybe that is just the quality of the photos. but i then saw pictures from other k750's and they were much better quality.

heres a link to an example...

i also have checked all settings and resolution is on full, and picture quality is 'fine'

thanks in advance for help

Try updating the phone's firmware, that may help a little.

Make sure the settings are all correct - i.e. it's not in night mode or macro mode for normal days shots.

the quality of the pic depends of the light conditions that the pic was taken in also.

@dark - So you still GOT the STOCK firmware and perhaps with that of the cam-drive-version as well My K750 still has it's STOCK settings . . . no UPDATE has been done . . . and I can say that I can manage to TAKE nice shots too. Just always remember that there are certain factors to consider when taking some NICE-shots . . . . . . lighting condition, shaky-hands, attarctiveness of the OBJECT etc. etc. . . . and I can say that some K750's SHOTS can even OUTBEST that of the K800-photos (3.2 MP)

If you are into night-shootings, why not GET yourself an mxe-60 Xenon Flash mate (optional accessory attachment) . . . it will surely PUT some SPICE in your photos . . . take a look at this image I've taken at NIGHT Time with an mxe-60 xenon Flash on it . . .

@Dark, Looking at the pic you posted, I'd say its normal. Turn on night mode and turn on the flash, i think it'll be marginally better. However if you go outdoors in the morning and take a pic, then you'll see how good the cam is.

I agree with previous posters, that the image is quite normal k750 quality.
Night mode and flash should really give better result.
Also some pictures you may have seen could have been processed to remove noise, or maybe custom camera drivers were used, that can in some circumstances give superior results.

@dark: You can change the differents White Balance(WB) settings to make your pics come better. change WB settings depending in the light conditions you take your pic.

Thanks all for your help, I took some photos outside too, and they still had the same, how to explain it... 'colour distortion' kinda thing going on. Like blue dots and things.

But I will try updating the firmware and things, if not, then I guess I must just be a bad photographer lol, but I can learn

Thanks again for all your help everyone

upgrading your firmware phone wont make it better as the latest firmware has the same camera driver, 5.3. if you dare to upgrade you camera driver with a modified one, i bet your pics will turn out better. it is up to you.

@dark_synth, when you say you tried taking photos outside, do you mean in the day or at night? The night shots taken with my K750 also havethe red and blue specks. The day photos however, turn out great. I've also tried taking night shots with the LED on, as well as with the MXE-60, the noise is greatly reduced, so I recommend that you try both.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Right, I think I have figured it out, I think I just wasnt using the flash enough, because I was presuming artificial light from lamps would be enough, but with the flash on the phone, the picture quality is much better. Thanks again for your help.

@dark - I am assuming that you POSTED an indoor-image-shot there mate Also, I assume that you USED an MXE-60 Xenon Flash on it As you cannot have a sharp-image like that using the fone's PLAIN: LIGHT on it . . . [addsig]
