Hi all,

I am a newbie here and i would like to know how best to transfer my phonebook from my nokia to my new t68i. I am using a nokia 7110 and i have multiple numbers under each name. In the past i have always used logomanager for backing up and restoring my nokia phonebok.

The only way i can think of is to sync my numbers into outlook, and try and copy them to my t68i from there.

any ideas

regards

nope, "multiple numbers under each name" means copying to sim will be a time consuming waste.

I'd go for the Outlook option. It's simple, both phones support it and you can do a backup at the same time. Best of luck.

MISSION SUCCSESSFUL!!!!!!!!!!!

I succsefully exported my contacts from my 7110 to outlook . (i used oxygen phone manager II)

I then syncronized my t68i with outlook using XTNDconnectPC which i download HERE

so now all my entries from my 7110 inc emails etc have been copied across.

thanks for the replies

when i switched to a t68 from my 7110, here's what i did:

1. sync the 7110 addressbook to outlook using nokia fonesync for 7110 (available on nokia website)
2. sync t68 with outlook using the extndconnect software from ericsson website.

the only drawback is that the default numbers get jumbled up and the groups will not be exported to the t68.

HTH.

Well, at least it is a lot easier to organize your contacts in Outlook than in the phone it self. And settig up Groups again gives you a chance to reorganize them, add some and remove remove others. I reorganize my Groups all the time.

There's one slowest way,but it's good only if you don't have a cable - with your IR,just send your contact as business card via IR.I'm no so sure that it works with 7110,but I've tryed with 6210 & 6310i

hehe... it's really hard to organize 250+ names into groups again.
