If someone rings me I can hear them pefectly through the HCB 700 speaker but they cannot hear me. Peculiarly, I can hear myself through the speaker - even when I put my mobile outside the car and even when I disconnect the microphone cable from the HCB 700. I know there's probably a simple explanation for this but I fera I'm too simple to know what. Help!

It's easy to get them mixed up. Does the mic work or not? Or is it intermittant? It's a very thin, fragile cable and easily damaged. Check it's condition if you're unsure.
