w700 flashed with w800 fw. |

if a w700 was flashed with w800 fw, any chance to get back the cam feature? got 3 w700 here, we try to heal them. after falshing them, no result. the cam doesnt work - no wonder, cos w7 has got no af - so the fones are working less or more, u make make calls etc, but no cam. does a wrong fw kill the cam or if the camera is replased with e new one, will it solve the problem? any experiences on this area?
here is a w810 too, which died after sy wnated to falsh it with w800fw. now my friend flashed it with generic w810, no network coverage is shown, but all features works fine. maybe some internal problem, can a flash cause hw problems like that?

hey man, i think changing da firmware might screw up ur fone, if u think about it each fone has its own firmware, it's like this cuz each fone is different and the hardwares and all that stuff is different......ok wat i mean is changing da firmware is kinda risky and yes it does screw up ur fone if u don't do it properly, and the reason y it screws up is because u probably used a different firmware for ur fone........if u were using a firmware that is for ur fone but is a different region, e.g. if ur chaning from European to Chinese then that's ok but changing the firmware to another fone's firmware i think it'll screw up ur system inside.........sure i've seen topics like K700i firmware changed to W700i or watever, yea some of those works but if i were u i wouldn't try it and ur best solution is probably reflash it back to ur original one...........if we can all use firmwares from better fones then we might as well get like a W950i firmware and flash it on a W800i fone, that's 3 versions difference so i don't think it'll work. |

@Boba - Mate try changing the camera driver. Upload the original W700 camera driver in the ifs/settings/camera folder instead of the W800 one.

The W700s should be flashed back with W700 firmware. Then they should be ok.

@Coxy - After all you are right buddy. Actually the W700 firmware is better than the W800 one (in my opinion). It is newer, less bugs and supports flash themes (if I'm not wrong).

Is there any reason why you want to flash it to W800 firmware? There doesn't seem to be many differences in the first place.
