a friend of mine owning a k750(same as mine) disassemble his phone, because he wanted to change the casing(cover), it was all good the first few weeks, but after that, the earphones went dead, after the headphones, the signal got screwed, the indicators indicate full stregth on teh signal, but the text thats supposed to indicate network name was "Searching", he went to an SE service center, the service center first updated his SW to R1DB001 , but it wastill the same after that...although the earphone went back to working condition. anybody experinced this here?

Thanks!

Could be that the aerial or it's connectors on the mainboard are out of alignment. The reason it's showing a full signal is it's probably picking up another network, and it must have a mast pretty close to your frined's location.

Try taking the phone apart again, could be something's not quite in it's proper place.

Hey, the problem you talk about with the network failure often happens when you try to change the grey middlepart of the cover because someone told me that the antenna is fixed to the middlecover and if you dont warm up the antenna before removing the grey middle part the antenna and bluetoth will get broken (ripped of). And that is probebly what happened here to.

Never heard that warming up thing before, sounds like an old wives' tale!

Changed a few K750i/W800i facias with no problem, I think the main thing is to make sure you've not forgotten the aerial or the gold prong connectors haven't been damaged or flattened down.
