Agree with ferrarista44, Norton on XP works great, and has the nicest update of any AV software.
Some say MacAfee protects better, but that isn't my experience...

My problems with Norton:
2002: Keeps on giving me an error message on startup.
2003: LiveUpdate doesn't work.
My problems with McAfee: Startup screen freezes on startup.
What do you think about PC-Cillin?

I use Kaspersky AVP which is absolutely excellent. I've had it about 4 years, and it's never let me down - in fact when I started using it I'd got WinCiH which was propagated to the rest of the computer by Symantec (which I was trying to get rid of it with). I tried Sophos and Norton, neither of which were any good, and finally resorted to Kaspersky which got rid of it no problem.

Yes i have kaspersky avp too for about 2 years. No problems were in these 2 years. I think it is the best virus protector.
