Cheers for info, I've been looking for the smallest usb I could find and that seems to be it and making use of microsd when it becomes useless when I move back to se

Smallest USB device? Take a look at the Sony 'Micro Vault Tiny'. They come in 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB and 2 GB capacity.
