It looks a mess, I've tried nail polish remover but that don't work. The keys have a rubberized surface texture which tends to peel after fingernails tap the keys leaving what looks like peeling skin on sunburn. It won't pick off either, I guess I'm not the only person with this prob?

thatswhy i prefer plastic keypad solutions, rubber isnt very good. but for example on /// t65 had never that problem. u should get a new keypad, but it will happen again at heavy usage imo

oh look here...finally someone mentioned it,i was such impressed in so many capabilities of the handset that i forgot to even think about it.

i have the same problem, starting right the day after i bought my k800(i call it technology )
from the first days the rubber started to wear out, since i do sms writing and play games so much, that made me always have my finger nails cut.
that's a pitty, really it is,from the first days....it doesnt look good at all, especially in daylight...

when somes keys infected i decieded to rub them all over so there would be a nice combination, but couldnt, cause you can't rub if you Want...then i thought the main surface is rough and i'm not gonna have this problem with them........................but now, after months, there are little scratches on it,this time you cant see in the daylight,it's obvious at night when the keypad glows.......................

after all that,i must say that the body and LCD really did their work, not even a tiny scratch....those rubbers on keypad is the only fault.

you could give it a go with some car silicon polish (can't hurt )

but eventually(or if the silicon doesn't work) you will have to change

i'm afraid to try that, since the surface itself is as unstable as the rubber.well, not that terrible, but not much better..........trying silicon pulish, having all keypad cover worn out,and here we are...a comleteley glowing keypad without numbers or letters, perfect for lightning a cave (fortunately i've memorized the pattern:D)

r these phones with disintigrating key pads old? if not i would say that there is a design fault - the manufacturer has clearly chosen the wrong material.

her are pics :
notice rubber worn out, most on upper keys due to playing games with long finger nails

and here the key surface itself without covering rubber, scratched under heavy usage, number 4 key(it's visible),two on both sides of 2 key,and those dot on 5(they are pretty somehow)

uh,have you ever noticed this on your k800s??although this is not much bad

and finally, does anybody know what's that???
