after looking on the internet for some time looking for answers i found this site and would like to no if someone can help.
i have a SE k610i and it used to freeze sometimes or have trouble connecting to calls but if u were to remove the battery or switch it off and on it would usually resolve the problem......not this time, it just wouldent come back on, i tried taking the battery out again, chargeing, connecting to my comp via data cable but all to no avail, all i can get out ov it is either a solid or a flashing light. i have looked on this site for answers but i dont no wot some ov the tearms u use mean am willing to try and solve the problem myself but i have no idea where to start. i have also been told that the phone could need flashing or setting back to factory settings.

Plllleeeeeeeeaaaassseeeeeeeee can someone help, i love SE and dont want to change.

Thanks, Rory

It's the notorious EROM bug. Update the old EROM via WotanServer. Go to www.wotanserver.com
It's not free though, but very reliable. Good luck.

As I was about to get my K618i last year, I was also OPTING in gettin' a K610i (just either of the two .. .). Though the saleslady (a close friend) told me that they had encountered some problems with the K610i from their customers . . . saying that the fone TENDS to really - DIE if the USE of the battery is utilized to it's - BRINK .. . or FLAT-OUT ! The battery won't charge anymore (if the battery is drained NUMEROUS times) resulting to a DEAD set . . . [addsig]

If you still have warranty on it trade it in for a new one.

Use this tutorial:

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=156090

But first download EROM file from www.4shared.com

then flash it as a MAIN firmware file (DO NOT FLASH Filesystem with it)

and of course this is FREE...

I don't know why people are telling new users to use wotan or other clients while they can repair their phones for free...

You cant see your phone CID with service menu (>*<<*<*)... You just need to connect your phone to XS++ and see the phone CID in the log file
