DCU-60 driver installation problems |

I recently bought a Sony Ericsson DCU-60 USB cable for use with a PC (Windows ME) and a Sony Ericsson Z-550i phone. I'm hoping to be able to change the firmware with it using Wotanserver.com.
The cable I received is an OEM version which means no software CD, but was told that I needed to download "PC suite" from Sony Ericsson's website. I can't remember where exactly I found it at Sony Ericsson, but at least it works with Windows ME and not just XP 
So I've installed the software, but the drivers aren't found by the system. Where are they and how do I install the cable?

AFAIK you dont need to install the cable. You only need to install the phone's drivers

You mean each phone has its own driver?
Do you know where I can get a Windows driver for the Sony Ericsson Z-550i? |

Yes, I think it will automaticly install the drivers. I don't think that you need to download them

I had a look through Sony Ericsson's website again and it occured to me that there are different versions of their "PC suite" software and it seems to depend on the phone in question. I just happened to find one version which worked with Windows ME as I'm using.
Could it be that specific version of PC suite only work with certain phones, so the one which I've downloaded might be an older version not having the necessary drivers for my Z550i phone?
I noticed that if I go to the Z550i information page and click on its software section a different XP-only version of PC suite pops up.
If PC suite also includes drivers for the phone this might make sense.
I might be able to visit a friend who has XP, bring my DCU-60 cable along, install the PC suite software there and then be able to update the firmware using Wotanserver. But if someone has a Z550i driver for Windows and could upload it somewhere, perhaps I could first try to see if I could install it on my Windows ME system. I don't care about PC-suite. I just want to be able to update my firmware via Wotanserver using the cable. |

Edit: if you want to flash firmware it is different drivers (all phone has 1 USB flash driver this time). Download latest one from wotan web site, that should work OK with their client.
