I live in the UK , am bringing my k800i and w850i to the states soon.
Can I use my UK charger through a travel adaptor such as below:

Or should I buy a USA sony ericsson charger (more expensive)

Appreciate a quick response from those who know or who have tried it.

You should be able to use it. Mine is. Check the back. It might say Input:100-240VAC-70mA50-60Hz. That adaptor should work.
I used my original SE charger in Jamaica, Europe and the US.
