I bought a K750i off Ebay for my son in December (I know I should know better!) and he had been having a bit of trouble with it resetting and freezing but taking the battery out usually sorted it. Then the other day it just died altogether and wouldnt do anything at all. Totally dead. Wouldnt even charge up and the battery wouldnt work on another phone either. My guess was that something he had DL'd had corrupted it, but as I had no warranty I could either pay GBP40 minimum to have it sent away or buy a new replacement for GBP80. So I took it to a dealer to be looked at before paying anything and he couldnt get it to do anything either nor get anything out of the battery. So I went for plan B and bought a new phone with warranty, but was determined not to give up. I had already DL'd the update service from SEUS but that wouldnt get past the bit where you plug the cable in. I'd also tried the shorting of the + & - terminals trick with no avail, but then I had the idea of putting his new battery in and while the phone was still quite dead it would allow SEUS to do a full upgrade and the phone then worked perfectly although the original battery still did nothing in either phone. However once I did a master reset the battery came back to life and I now have 2 fully functioning phones. So if you've a dead handset try SEUS with a different battery and then do a master reset before giving up.
