im having problems using the internet using my clie with palm 4.1 and my t68 using irda. i can connect ok using xiino but when i try to go to a site it tries to find the DNS then says error message about connection timed out please try again and if it persists disconnet PPP and then reconnect
ive tried changing some of the settings but to no avail. any help would be greatly appriciated |

Make sure you are sure about all your settingd for DNS, The Init string in Connection (or was is Network?) AND the APN setting (Data account settings) in the phone. I got this wrong with my T300 and it didn't work until I entered the correct data I found on my providers homepage.

thanks for the reply. just a few questions i think my APN is correct but where can i find the settings concerning DNS and i have nothing in the init string. is that correct? besides that i think everything is OK. could u possibly run through your settings 4 me? |

I don't have the Palm with me now, but all the settings i mentioned should be provided by your provider in some way. I tried some other settings before I managed to find the info on my provider homepage (it sucks that it was difficult to find....), but they did not work...obviously.
So. My tip is to contact you provider in some way to get the settings from them. Unless you have Comviq or Tele2 in Sweden, then I can mess them to you  |

Shame im with vodafone in the UK! i came across this stange thing
when in the phone number part in the palm network i type in a number given on the voda website it works! but its like a normal call not using wap?! when i try a number *99# also given on voda site it does not work but it is using wap!!!
