o2 mmail - more than 160 characters? |

I have o2 mmail set up on my phone (k750) and can send an sms from my phone to an email address. This works fine but if the message is any longer than 160 characters, or one sms, the portion beyond the 160 characters is just ommited. It doesn't even get sent as a seperate email, so it's just lost. This seems to be utterly rediculous and renders close to pointless this otherwise useful service. Is there something I've missed (have tried fiddling with the settings to no avail), or is it just impossible to send an sms through this service to an email address over 160 characters? If so are there any other email gateway numbers/services available? Thanks for any assistance. |

Here in Argentina the sms to email are cut too if you exceed the 160 caracters, but you have to pay for two sms! I wish it not happen to you.

How do you send a txt message to an email address? Is it as simple as inputting an email address instead of a mobile number when sending the txt?

theres quite a few uk based free sms2email gateways, just had a quick search and found one at http://wwwsms2email.com send a txt to 07766404142 or 447766404142 start your message with the email leave a space and write your message, im presuming if your message goes over 160 characters itl still send just like an ordinary txt, if you want to recieve a reply back to your phone you have to open an a count as theyre not free
