with my t68i I cannot dial straight from the sim (joystick down), I have to copy ALL my sim contacts into the phone first. also even more annoying i cannot save any number on the fly onto sim... I must copy it first into the phone memory and then copy the WHOLE phone book into the sim, overraiding the previous directory. not good at all. My phone is not locked but if i use a SIM from TIM, Telecom Italia Mobile, it works fine allowing me to do all the above things... If I use my T-mobile Sim or vodafophone I have all those annoying limitations. Can anybody help? thank you

I have a t68m with R5D007 software and I can dial from my SIM-card without having to copy it into the phonebook. Try to upgrade your software.

i have a better idea. go to SHORTCUT. then go to EDIT SHORTCUT. then go select CALL FROM SIM. then save the changes.

after that. everytime u wanna call from ya SIM. push the joystick to right for 3 sec. then u will be able to call from SIM straight.

P>S u have to remember to put that CALL FROM SIM shortcut to option no. 1 at the shortcut

happy trying

Or the easiest way is to press 1-9 then #, you will get promoted to the sim position, then simply look for the sim number you wanna dial !!!!!!!!!

@caff: it is not limited to number 1-9, it can be done with every other position on sim also. Editing a single position on sim can only be done with pc-software. :-(

@masson: Hmm, I dont see what you mean. In my opinion it's the fatstest way to call someone! For position twelve on SIM just key in 12# and then YES. Can you make a call any faster from either SIM or Telephonebook ??

if you remember the position of all your friends on your sim you need to get out more, living in a box is not healthy.

as for dialling from sim card, the phone was designed with a little ignorance towards people swapping sim cards among other things and the phonebok is geared towards users copying all #'s to the phone and modifying from there...ignorant but thats Ericsson for you...about as stupid as the sms tone or lack of.
