oki had a paird of hpm-70 silver for my k800i and the left earphone ent really quiet on them, so i went and bought a pair of black ones and guess what? just now the left earphone has gone really quiet with them, wtf is happening?

do you think maybe im pushing them a little hard to get them into my ears?

I suspect it's more a problem with the connector on the phone, it could need a bit of a clean, try using a toothbrush on the phone's Fastport contacts, maybe soaked in an alcohol (not lager though! ) type solution.

but my first ones worked for a while then stopped, so i got new ones they worked for a while then stopped so i cant see how thats the problem and the phone is like 3 weeks old

Try gently waggling the connector when plugged into the phone to see if it makes any difference. Also try waggling the wire on the faulty earpiece next to the earbud whilst it's in the ear, does that make any differnce at all either?

oops dnt see your post sammy but no it didnt help so im still stuck, gonna tek these back, got a dodgy shop in bradford selling oem hpm 70's for a tenner so ill buy them but ffs if they break again ill go mental

I had similar problem with my HPM70. The left speaker was louder than the right, and I cleaned the phone's connector. But in my case, it was not the headset, but the phone connector was dirty.

defo headset on mine cos i've tried just the earpeace things in my ipod and same result

Definatley the headsets then - did you say you got them both from a dodgy shop in Bradford?

I wonder if the headsets are lower quality fake ones?

no first paiur was from my mums w800i i sorta borrowed them, second set was a black pair from o2 shop, i was gonna go to a dodgy shop and get a pair for a tenner today but im gonna try get them replaced by o2 shop, but i still wanna know why they keep breaking

I have the same problem but my ones sorted after a bit of wiggling it around while it's plugged in. I think yours is just bad luck when it comes to buying headphones.

well i took em back and they refunded me cash cos they had none left so i went to the next nearest store and bought another pair, hopefully wont break this time
